Welcome to my blog! I’m a mom of two wonderful boys, ages 12 and 19, and I work full time in IT. Although I work with computers and technology during the day, by night I love learning about health, wellness, personal finance, and earning a side income. Odd combination…I know! Ever since high school, I’ve always enjoyed learning about investments, how to save money, and the best ways to earn more money, which I probably picked up from my dad.
The birth of my younger son inspired me to start learning about how to earn additional income in the hopes that one day, I would be able to work full time from home. I’ve tried different ventures, but found my passion is for writing and helping other working moms with their health, wellness, and financial independence journey.
My health and wellness journey started almost 4 years ago because I was stressed out at work and became sick with strep throat three times in 2 months. I had tried all different vitamins, but none of them seemed to help until I stumbled upon a nutritional shake that I had read about online. I was really skeptical because I never wanted to drink shakes (I thought all shakes were like Slim Fast), but I researched the heck out of it and decided I had nothing to lose by trying it.
After drinking it for a month, I noticed my energy levels were much higher than they had been in awhile. I continued drinking it, started working out 30 minutes a day, and learning to cook and eat healthier. I didn’t get sick again, except for a small cold, 2 years later. I love sharing what has worked for me with other busy, working moms who think they don’t have time to get healthy! There’s no magic pill and it doesn’t happen overnight, but if you make your health a priority, you can definitely change your life!
